My name is Martha. I am a nine-year-old Old English Sheepdog who lives in South Wales. This year I moved house for the first time; I no longer live my grandparents and I miss them quite a lot. I have a heart murmur and a crumbling spine so I have to take lots of tablets, which make me feel young again.

I have a Mummy who is a bit silly, an Auntie Ysabel who helps me make this site, a Cousin Sweepie who's a Pug, and, an Uncle Ray who I hope to marry one day.

I spend my days looking out of the front window watching people walk by, playing with plastic bottles, and teaching Sweepie about life. I love going down the beach and long walks when the weather's cool enough. I hate being brushed and I think I have my own unique style.

I started this blog in December 2004 but had a break from it at the end of 2006. This was because my life had changed a lot after Madge, my Pug cousin, had babies and I helped her to raise them. I didn't think I'd want to blog again but now I want to share my new grown-up life, in my new home.

I was alone all day yesterday because Mummy took Auntie Ysabel shopping. At 5pm, right before they got home again, the electricity went off. It was lucky that it wasn't dark because I hate the dark so much.

When Grandma came home she brought a present for Madge. I wanted it, though, so when she put it on top of the stereo I climbed up to get it and had a big row of Auntie Ysabel. It wasn't fair. I wanted the toy.

After dinner, and with the electricity back on, Grandma taught Madge how to sit and lie down and stay. I don't like it when Grandma does that; it worries me. So I was barking a lot to tell her to stop. Then Grandma made me do it but that's easy stuff to do. I've been able to do that since I was a baby. I know how to ask for things, too. Mummy says it's cos I have a big mouth!

Later in the evening, I was lying in Auntie Ysabel's lap when she was watching TV and Mummy came in and made me get off the chair. I wasn't at all happy. She let me sit next to her but the space was too small so I had to sit on the floor.

Just after I went to bed Granddad came home from work and woke me up! Today I'm tired again.
